This book Only took me four years to complete because it was both hardback and close to 900 pages, but I digress. Stephen King's writing is always a pleasure to read. As a staple in my home, reading him always feels like home wherever I am. A friend of mine mentioned that Insomnia references other novels that take place in Derry, so I'm looking forward to the next novel I choose to read that follows that timeline. This book started as most of books do - simple, about a person living his/her life - in this case, Ralph cannot sleep at all. And then tips its toes into the supernatural. I can't even describe how loopy the story turns with the talk of seeing people's auras and whatnot. The big bad is metaphysical (like in the story IT) and then somehow defeated (you know, good vs. evil). The epilogue for me, went on far longer than it had to, but I understood King's reasoning behind it. Overall, a satisfying read. Maybe next time, I won't take so long to read one of his long books!
