I adored this book. I was interested in the book because I went to university in the Spokane area. I lived about 10 miles away from Reardan, the "rich white town" from the story. As a minority I can relate to the clash of cultures. Junior gets the opportunity to move to a school outside the reservation. Should Junior assimilate to the "white culture" or stay true to his "roots?" Is it possible to do both?
