I've been intrigued by Acheron since starting the Dark Hunters series & I wasn't disappointed with this book. The first part was heartbreaking, learning about his life as a human. Ugh. I was so angry with everyone through that whole part I didn't know if I could continue reading. When it switched to present day, Kenyon picked up with her usual smartass humor, which in this book wasn't as annoying as it's been in some. I really like Ash & was glad to learn more about him, and, of course, that things turned out okay for him, too. Kenyon has a way with some of her characters, ahem, male characters, in making them so damned hot & she held nothing back w/ Ash, and for that I was grateful lol Anyway, now that I know him better, I think I'll enjoy the rest of the books that much more.
