it was amazing
bookshelves: women-s-fiction
Read in January, 1998

Atwood creates a striking future in this novel about a women whose rare fertility leads her to life a life of peculiar sexual servitude. Not a comfortable read by any means, because the main character has to endure a hard life, but a worthwhile one.

It has been some years since I read this book and although the details of the plot have trickled from my brain, the memory of the world in which the characters move has remained vivid.
