This book was good for me, but not great. I liked how it was organized and the amount of information concerning each stage of pregnancy. However, I was disappointed in it for a few reasons as well. First, I have had 2 different pregnancy risks, both of which are a matter of life and death for the baby. Neither one is mentioned anywhere in the book, even though both are quite common and I can find plenty of information on the web about them. Second, it can sometimes seem like an alarmist book. "This symptom is probably nothing, but there is a chance it could be THIS, so you had better call your doctor right away." This is said about nearly every little thing, and as someone who has high-risk pregnancies, it can be very disconcerting and troubling. Third, even though I like the overall format of the book, and appreciate the fact that it is generally very detailed, I wish it was broken down a little bit more. 986041 Amen! I finally had to put this one away because it always just FREAKED my out everytime I read it. I began to just use it if I had a specific thing to look up--and it always still was troubling and disconcerting. So I agree 100% with your whole review, too?!?

Nophoto-f-25x33 I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw it this way! One of the best pieces I've gotten during this pregnancy was to "put down the book!" (Referring to this one). I kept getting so worried and paranoid over every little thing in there.
