Read from September 28 to 29, 2011

This is the penultimate installment of the Blue Bloods series. I can’t really discuss plot without spoiling the other series, but suffice it to say that Jack and Schuyler are happy (for now, but for how long?), Mimi wants to get Kingsley back and we start learning more about Allegra’s backstory from her own narration.

The next book should be incredible—a final showdown between Blue Bloods and Silver Bloods, AND with the addition of a player we learn about at the end of Lost in Time. (I know that sentence is annoyingly vague, but I can’t spoil it.) We’ll learn the rest of Allegra’s story, I’m guessing, and hopefully Bliss will show up again.

I’m not sure why I love this series so much, but it is the most fun of guilty pleasures.

If Melissa de la Cruz’s website is accurate (which is a safe assumption), the next and last book won’t be out until January 2013. I hope it’s a typo but I’m afraid it isn’t.
