Harlan Coben is quickly becoming my guilty pleasure. He a certain Hitchcockian sensiblity where he places a seemingly innocent man in a situation where the evidence points to his guilt but is out of control.
The suspense is taut and well controlled and there is always a suprising little plot twist that you don't see comning.
Author Dan Brown calls Coben the master of the hook and twist.
