Still working on finishing it. I'm not sure I'll get there. Here it is - months later - still sitting on my dresser. Maybe later. Finally finished this. Can't figure out why I bothered. I really wanted to read a Kingsley Amis - maybe this wasn't the one. The language was interesting. I just didn't like the characters. Of course, I don't think that was the point - the main character was distinctly unlikeable - but I guess I just don't have any interest in a period piece about the 50's/60's overindulgence in sex, liquor, partying and self-absorption. I know there's lots more to be gained from this book but I think I would there are several others out there that would deal with the issues in a way I would much prefer. <br/><br/><a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/251507?utm_medium=api&utm_source=blog_review">View all my reviews.</a>
