Hmm....Book 3 in the Jack Daniels series was fast paced, witty, gruesome, but something was missing.

Maybe it was the fact that the villain you could figure out a mile away....everything just seemed too..what's the word, circumstantial. Things just fell into place. That's not to say that it wasn't entertaining. The diatribe between Holly Frakes and Jack Daniels was great. And when they were showing off to each other and trying to best each other at a shooting range, or in hand to hand combat, you couldn't help but wonder what would happen if these two met in a fight.

Well of course you get to find out...and that may be where I realized that she was indeed the villain.

I'm growing to love the cast of characters, from her partner, to Harry McGlade and even Phinneus Trout.

Can't wait to read the others, because despite all their flaws, these books are just downright entertaining.

I just don't ever want to be hit in the face with a hair brush where the bristles have been replaced by rusted nails....OUCH!!!!!!
