Tex was a happy, attractive, tall, handsome, teenager who loved to ride horses. Mason Tex's brother was a basketball player and provided for them. Johnny spoiled teenager also Tex's best friend. Jamie was the girl who Tex had a crush on.
Tex's father has been gone for a long time and "forgot" to send money home to take care of Tex and Mason. Mason has to sell Tex's horse Negrito because he needs the money to take care of them and he knows the horses would have died over the winter anyways. Tex at this point in the book hates his brother and gets in a fist fight with Mason, Mason punches Tex in the face! While Tex and Mason are Financially his best friend Johnny and his crush Jamie get anything and everything that they ask for! Johnny asked for a motorcycle and guess what! he got it. Johnny gives Tex a ride to school every morning. Tex's dad finally decides to show up and his excuse is he lost track of time! He says he wants to get Tex a good present for his birthday because it is coming up soon...what his dad didn't know is that Tex has his birthday three weeks ago! Mason is so mad that his dad doesn't remember his own sons birthday! His dad feels bad so he tries to buy back Tex's horse Negrito but the man that bought them won't sell it back to them. Tex is very sad. He decides to start smoking. Tex and Johnny get bored so they put exploding rocks underneath the keys of the type writers at the end of year finals so the whole school freaks out! They get caught. haha! Mason gets really mad at Tex so Tex runs away and his uncle picks him up because he needs someone big to help him on a drug deal. So Tex goes because he would be getting some money. The guy pulls a gun so Tex beats the crap out of him! Tex also gets shot! When Tex's uncle finds out that he got shot he ditches Tex at the mall! luckily he calls Jamie and tells her so he doesn't die! The ambulance comes and he is in the hospital in critical condition.....

Brooke Mostly a summary. Talk about theme, setting, would you recommend it etc. Don't give away every detail. You want the reader to get excited about reading the book. Correct your conventions. Good plot summary, but almost a little too much of it. I'm interested in reading the book!
