it was amazing
bookshelves: 5-stars

I'm not sure if it's the 2nd or 3rd time I read this book. This is one of my favorite series. What else is to be said? I'll admit, I really don't see it as a movie (an adaptation is on the way) and it does have it's flaws. It's not the most original thing out there. Plus, I can't stand Jace. Don't get me wrong, he's MUCH more tolerable than other certain love interests in popular YA books I should mention, but he's a complete an utter asshole. His character is that extremely hot and tortured guy that we see in most young adult books these days, AND his behavior in the climax of the book was just confusing. "Oh, yeah, my father's alive but didn't bother to tell me. No prob." Clary, despite her occasional annoyingness, I never hated her guts we wanted to punch her. I liked her, actually. The writing wasn't good at all, but I sort of ignored it most of the time.

BUT that didn't ruin the book for me. I loved it! The plot was awesome, there were some epic characters in here (my favorite has to be a tie between Magnus, Simon and Luke), it is one of the most HILARIOUS books I've ever read and the ending had some interesting dramatic revelations and plot twists,
