Michael Vey is a very scrawny Teenage man with Tourettes syndrome, he is often bullied by three jerks at school! He is anything but normal. He can create a electric pulse and not get hurt! His best friend Ostin is also anything but normal, He is a very nerdy kid he is the Einstein of middle school! He meets a cheerleader at his school named Taylor she is the nicest person he has talked to ever(he also has a crush). Taylor is also very strange she can manipulate peoples mind with her power!
Together the three of them try to find out how Michael and Taylor got their powers. But a powerful and feared company finds out that they know and try to find and capture them! Engin(the company) Takes Michael's mom and Taylor! Together Ostin and Michael have to set out to save his mom and their friend Taylor.
They find the company headquarters in Pasadena California and have to figure out a way to free his mom and friends! This is just the first book out of the new series by Richard Paul Evans.

This book is a book for young adults and is for those who like action, adventure, suspense, mystery, and thriller books. I think that this book is really unique because it is about people with super powers!!! The theme of this book is People that have disorders or are not "normal" can do amazing things! This book is a first person narrative book and is one of the best books that i have ever read! my favorite quote in this book is one by Michael " I learned that harboring an emotion as powerful as gratitude has a power of its own"
I would highly recommend this book to readers of all ages!
