I really liked The Tea Rose, although I couldn't make it though The Winter Rose. I also love this author's more YA novels. But this one didn't draw me in at all. I couldn't believe in Willa, a woman with one leg, hiking all over Everest, the darling of the Sherpas. I felt bad for Jennie, who was only guilty of falling for the wrong man. The bad guy, Max, was more sympathetic than the hero.
I like a good potboiler once in a while, but either this was not a good potboiler or I'm over the genre.
