Hrm. First off, if you haven't read the previous five Nightwalker and the three Shadowdwellers books, do not bother to read this. Secondly, while I thought this was a good end to this series arc, the preponderance of action cuts into the relationship development portion, leading to big-time 'fated mate' syndrome. Fated Mate syndrome is when two people barely know each other, but almost instantly fall in love because they are destined to be together. I felt like Adam a lot, just looking around and going, 'WTF just happened?' I think the only books I really liked in this series were Jacob, Elijah, and Damien. Not too surprising as it's the debut book and the other two have shifter heroines.

I suspect there will be more books set in this world at some point as Frank set up a 'children of prophecy' arc and she underscored it several times. For my part, I'm looking forward to the sequel to Loribelle Hunt's Kiss of Darkness. The world Hunt has created bears a similarity to Frank's, but, in my opinion, it's more 'realistic.'
