Not a read for the squeamish...there is usually some physical harm perpetrated on the firemen but this one is a little more significant than others in the series. Tommy Skyler is considered the "kid" on the team, had potential as a pro football player that he walked away from when tragedy struck and has not quite acted on his attraction to nurse Shea Ford (sister to Detective Shane Ford). Both of them must get beyond their past traumas in order to go forward but circumstances may tear them apart before they ever get together. Things also finally reach a crisis point for Captain Sean Tanner who must also find a way to cope with his own past tragedies.
