Another adorable wordless picture book. Savage's illustrations are collage-like and extremely humorous. Walrus escapes the zoo, and attempts to blend into each of the scenes such as a fountain, a soda counter and a department store window. The pictures are witty and allow readers/viewers to be creative and narrate the book to tell what is happening. Adorably absurd and appealing to the kiddies.
Curriculum: A witty and fun story for very young children. This is an especially good book to use with both pre-readers ELLs because it helps them develop their speaking skills as well as help them gain a sense of sequence within stories.
