That snooty private girls' school with the high walls and heavy gates? Yeah, that's really a school for spies. Mostly the children of current or former government agents, these girls study 14 languages, infiltration and defense techniques, and covert ops. But their toughest op? A local boy.

I didn't like this one as much as the Heist Society series, but the author is clearly good at writing strong female characters. But not just kick-butt strong, though they are that. She writes about real girls who do extraordinary things. I loved that these spies-in-training can take you down with a copy of People magazine but are totally clueless when it comes to boys. What does it mean when he says maybe he'll see you around? Why did he tell his friend you are "just some girl"? How are you supposed to act on a date?

I'm already a third of the way through the second one....
