(view spoiler)[Not exactly my favourite. Agatha Christie kind of sends up her earlier works like The Big Four, by having her young amateurs thinking they're on to a secret criminal society that's murdering people who get too close, when in fact they society is a front for some semi-professional intelligence gatherers for Scotland Yard. It ended up being a little too much Secret Cabal and not enough Country House Cozy for my taste. The killer turns out to be one of the only fleshed out and likeable characters in the book. Too bad. Touches of P.G. Wodehouse in the descriptions of the country house set, especially at the beginning before the first murder takes place. (hide spoiler)]
