it was amazing

I was given this book when I was ten and have been reading it on and off since. This book is about a girl called Marianne that falls ill on her birthday. Due to spending alot of time in bed due to her illness she dreams alot. This book captures all the dreams that we expeirence during a fever and puts them into words.

This is a very good read and I would recommend this as a classic must read for a child between the ages of 10-13. This is a great "first novel" for children as it is an easy read but captivates you with the mysterious story line.

Shey I'm 12 and everyone in my year had to read it and nearly everyone hated it. The teacher told everyone that if you liked the book go to one side of the playground and if you didn't, go to the other. Out of everyone, four people went to the good side. That's out of 120 pupils. I honestly feels as if this book was made for 8 year olds so I don't really agree with your recommendation seeing as I'm in it!
