I particularly was thinking of the recent Prince Caspian film as I read this, and the ending bit with Caspian/Susan doesn't work so well for me now that I recall how it is supposed to end up for Caspian.

I didn't read well to the children over the summer, so this book took us forever and forever to get through. But enjoyable, as always, the gentle adventures of Narnia. Eustace's transformation is handled beautifully, I think. And I love the idea of stars as humans, as a quirky magician or as a keeper of Aslan's table. And Reepicheep's bravery!
