I started with the Shadow Force books and once caught up thought I would go back and read her first series. Being that I was now familiar with Stephanie's writing style of having multiple story lines going on in one book the influx of information given being that this was the first in the trilogy didnt bother me. This trilogy is about 3 brothers. 2 adopted and one natural. Jake Hansen had to kill his abusive step father when he was young and it has forever haunted him. Isabelle Markham was in Africa with Doctors without Borders when the bodyguard she thought was there to protect her kidnaps and beats her. Jake and his team are sent in to rescue her and her and Jake form a bond. Due to Jake's past he walks away from Isabelle but is asked by her uncle to protect her when its found out that Rafe (the guy who kidnaped her in Africa) is coming after her again. There were alot of side stories that were started on this one that I hope are concluded in the other 2 books.. Overall a good read..
