Rosie’s Walk is about a Hen who goes on her walk completely oblivious of the fox which is following closely behind her. There are very little words on each page which makes it great for children in preschool who are starting to learn how to read. With few words, the illustrations in the book tell a lot of the story as it shows the fox encountering many mishaps along the way! There are many direct words in the book for children to learn, “through the fence”, “around the pool” and “across the yard.” I must admit, I did not enjoying the book as much as I would have anticipated but nevertheless, it has purpose. A classic story carried through generations, humorous and teaches children to be more aware of their surroundings.
