it was amazing
bookshelves: juvenile, fantasy
Read in January, 2007

This was a great alternate history for 18th century England. The public is banned from reading and writing. There are guilds that are allowed to do all things professional and they tend to fight one another. Mosca Mye is the main character and she goes on many adventures and meets many odd and exciting characters along the way. Very odd and well done story. There should definitely be a sequel to this one too. Oh, and it was written for children but I think teens and adults would enjoy it as well (if not more).
