"No Rest For The Dead" is riveting in the sense that I was (am) reading it at the time of Troy Davis' execution and when the questions about his guilt or innocence were being debated. The novel is about a wealthy woman accused and sentenced to die for the murder of her jerk of a husband. Halfway through the book and it's shaping up really well. The only problem is the premise that a person in death row would be executed in a matter of a couple of years after the sentencing. Not a lawyer but I think the process requires judicial patience and exhaustion of all legal avenues. Very creative approach to a novel though with 20+ authors corroborating on one storyline. Whether it pans out to be a good book will depend on the ending, of course, and I am not there yet ... But so far so good ...
