Oh, why do you love to torture us, Jeaniene? Why do the first books always have that kind of endings? I feel as if you let us taste a very fine bar of chocolate and yet you don't allow us to swallow it. If I could only be satisfied with the taste, I'd be ecstatic right now. But I want it whole.

I waaaant more. MORE. And why do we have to get the rest nine months from now? Why? :'[

But anyway. Of course, I'd give this five stars. Because.

Even though this is definitely happening inside the Night Huntress world I felt as if I was reading something from a different series. (It is a separate series but...you know what I mean.) Maybe because Leila is the one that narrates, not Cat. They certainly have different trails of thought. Cat's more badass. I just wasn't used to Leila's narration perhaps. But when I was reading First Drop and Eternal Something-something I didn't have this feeling. Huh.

And last: why did Bones and Cat appear just once in this book? And it was a very small scene. I was expecting more of them... Ah I really miss them! When will their next book be published??
