I am interested in the topic and I love Walter Dean Meyers. I just had a hard time getting into the screenplay reading of this and trying to come up with the images of the camera panning out, panning in, fade to black. I kept losing my place in the story and having to go back to try to catch back up.

I love the historical piction pieces though. It's a nice way to bring cause and effect into the classroom and support history. This also plays into a discussion I have had with my students this year about whose point of view do we see history through. This would be great to support that discussion.

It's a quick read and I appreciated the information. I'd have to play with this a little more to see how I could get my kids into it and make it powerful.
