Having luckily scored an advance reader's copy of this book, I decided to get through my first Chuck P novel since Diary (I couldn't finish Lullaby or Rant, though I didn't try very hard on Rant.) And, well... It was ok.
I'm not sure if it's my standards have gotten higher, or his quality has gotten lower. Alls I know is that I really liked his first several books, and I've been progressively less entertained as time goes on. I like still like him, a lot, but I'm waiting for him to impress me again.
I would have given this book 2 1/2 stars, but the fact that I resold my ARC for $60 made the entire experience all the more enjoyable. The book might have been less than I wanted, but at least it kept be fed for a few weeks.
Also, whoever the book publishers have proofreading their books need to get FIRED. Most of the mistakes I found were beyond glaring.

Rant was definetly a very special kind of book. It took me a while to finish it, but in the end I am really glad I did. I found it rather hard to follow for about the first 1/3 of the book, but after that it picked right up and moved into what you would amost not have expected.
I am kind of excited to read Snuff but am having a hard time finding anyone who really enjoyed it.
This is what an ARC is:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_cop...
If I were you, I would borrow the book from a friend or the library, or just read it in a store. The experience isn't really worth $25.
I'm surprised that I gave it 3 stars, but then again, I did make a big profit on it.
Also, I still really like Chuck. He gave me a box of candy on my birthday once. Class act.
