When I finished Dark Lover, I ran out and bought the next four books in the series. It was just that good. When I finished Lover Eternal, I started Lover Awakened the same night. When I finished Lover Awakened, I picked up Lover Revealed. I read the first thirty pages. Then I put it down for about a month. It's not that Lover Revealed wasn't good. It was. When I finally gave it a chance, I really enjoyed it. It was Butch. I mean, he wasn't REALLY a member of the Brotherhood. So why should I care? I mean, Lover Awakened was just so good. I'd just been made so happy by Zsadist and Bella. Why should I care about some human ex-cop and Wrath's castoff? Or at least that's how I felt at first. Then I gave this book a chance. And oh, was it good. I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I should have known this book wouldn't disappoint me despite my initial misgivings. Butch becomes so much more than just a cop and hanger-on in this story, so if you're worried you should just skip ahead to Lover U...more

939365 I was really surprised by this book too Kym. I thought that the undertones between Butch and W were quite emotional. LOVER AWAKENED was phenomenal and a hard act to follow. Marisa still bugs me as a leading lady but you can't like them all I guess ;)

134980 I still think of Marissa as a limp noodle waste of a heroine. But I disliked Cormia more, so I'm beginning to be more okay with her. But you're right. I probably wouldn't have been receptive to anything after how much I loved Lover Awakened.
