Just love Jane Austen. She is the queen of poking fun at class distinction, at wealth, at prejudice, at love, at everything. Her tongue-in-cheek descriptions of characters and their actions is amazing. It is all told with wide-eyed innocence, yet underneath a passion flows. I love this book because it tells the story of "opposites", sisters Marianne and Elinor. They love each other, but have no clue where the other is coming from. I could easily feel each emotion that Elinor was trying to repress. And laughed whole-heartedly at the likes of Sir John, Mr. Dashwood, Fanny, and Mrs. Jennings. Truly a loveable, re-readable book.
