This was a mixed bag read for me. Probably 3.5 stars/5 but I'm rounding up because of the great ending. Loved the opening and first 150 or so pages. Then it slowed for awhile until around Chapter 18 when everything picks up again and finishes very strong. There are some great plot twists in the final half of the book that caught me by surprise. This is one of the few 90s-era King novels I've read and it's enjoyable (I loved his 70s and 80s books). I just finished 11/22/63 which is also told in first person and loved that one, too. For those who like reading first person narrative ghost stories mixed with custody battles, this is worth strong consideration.
