This book was the journey of Alison. She was a rebellious teenager, then successful model, then a faded beauty, and finally, a middle-aged, somewhat unhappy woman. This book was very true-to-life in that it captured how, even when we are doing one thing, our thought process may be completely contrary. I also liked how important music was to all of the characters.
