really liked it
bookshelves: michael-jackson

She says this isn't an autobiography, but it is. True You is Janet's life story, spun as self-help with an emphasis on how she overcame her body image issues and developed the self-esteem to be a superstar. The sentiment is genuine, and she writes sweetly with a real interest in young women feeling better about themselves. I was put off reading this for a long time cause it seemed like chick stuff but as it turns out there's plenty of insights into her life and music that any fan will appreciate, even a skinny-ass boy like me. Plus there's fifty pages of recipes. God bless Janet Jackson.

Rich Gamble Just in case you haven't been introduced Art: I met Zoe through a mutual friend but now we are friends in our own right. She likes a lot of asian literature like you and has listened to your musical output i believe. Zoe: Art is a very profilic musician, we met at mac uni and his goodreads reviews are numerous, entertaining and mostly trustworthy :)
