This was my first book by this author and I really liked her style. The book itself talked about the strange nostalgia we feel for places we called home for such a long time. When we return to them, everything feels different and more pronounced. You appreciate things that were mundane when you lived there. The character of Tsugumi is interesting in that part of you wants to hate her but the narrator loves her so inevitably you yourself love her.
There is a part with a dog that made me a little sad but my soft spot for animals doesn't mean a book is bad.
I really loved the descriptions in the book and and overall tone. Definitely will read another by this author.
