(3.5 stars) First, let me say I have mixed feelings about "Grave Memory. In so many ways, the books was jammed pack with mystery, intrigue, and action. However, I have said it before and will repeat it again, I really dislike love triangles in adult literature. This really became a major issue in this book.

Alex is attempting to assist her best friend, Rianna re-emerge into mortal society after being helf for years in Faerie. So, she decides to start a P.I. agency entitled Tongues for the Dead. The agency plans to interview the dead with the sole purpose of solving crimes. THe new offices are not in the best part of the magical area and it needs a lot of work. However, Rianna agrees to the partnership.

While alking to their car to go shopping and have lunch with another friend, the ladies witness the aftermath of a man who falls to his death on top of a car. Instead of leaving with the death collector, he stands around looking at people while they are interview by the police. The witness believe he committed suicide and he is adamant he would never do that considering his wife is pregnant with their son.

Alex hands over one of her business cards to an officer to give to the widow. She is a bigot against the fae and magical community. However, she hires Alex to find out what happened to her husband. Before she can get started on the case, more bodies begin piling up. A link is established between the cases and the police are even becoming suspicious. To make matters worse. The magical community law enforcement is convinced that Alex is responsible for a series of ghoul attacks and it threatening her with death.

Alex's relationship with death moves forward a bit while her relationship with Falin Andrew is at a standstill. Here is where I have my problem. Finally, we get a glimpse of each man in question and to me Death should be the clear choice; yet, Alex stills continues her interest in Falin even though his loyalties are clearly to the Queen of the Winter Court. My second problem with the book is that Ms. Price only makes little baby steps towards providing information with relationships in Alex's life i.e. her father/sister, the Winter Queen, and various other supporting characters. The plot is moving a bit too slowly towards revelation and resolution. I am not sure how much longer my interest will continue without considerably more progress.
