Deep in the Valley (Grace Valley Trilogy, #1)
by Robyn Carr

This is s good read. It is kind of a cross between the Mitford series and the Big Stone Gap series.
There Is a very funny scene depicting a dinner party at crazy Aunt Myrna's house that is priceless.
An Indian police chief, a home town girl turned into the town physician and a secret romance with an undercover DEA agent make the characters interesting.
