I have to agree with a lot of the other reviews of this book; it was disappointing. I really thought it was going to be a great story but it turned out to be anything but. I found it really slow moving, even for a character driven novel. Ralph Truitt was no saint, but the behavior that he put up with by his new found wife and his long lost son was just ridiculous. I was neither surprised nor intrigued by this one. I found the writing to be stilted. Some paragraphs just went on and on about one idea and I found myself skimming them. This is never the sign of a well written book.
