This book was pretty good to cleanse the pallet (ie. books that are an entertaining, mindless read.) However, I got annoyed with the main character constantly complaining about her body. While many women have body issues, Sophy was way over the top. She was obsessive about her "wobbly bits" and it made me think she was too self deprecating. Honestly, the movie version was much better, even though it doesn't exactly match the book. The movie cuts out all the excess crap and makes all the characters more likable.
