Where All the Dead Lie (Taylor Jackson, #7)

I would rate this 3.5 stars if given the option but I'll round up because I really like the author and the series. This one is very different from the other books in the series. Taylor is recovering physically and even more emotionally from being shot in the head by The Pretender in the last book and is unable to speak and work. An emotionally shattered Taylor is not as much fun as Taylor in full force, I am not a Memphis (the Duke not the city) ;-) fan at all and I got frustrated with both the book and Taylor's choices through about the first 2/3rds of the story. J.T. Ellison pulled it out at the end and the last 1/3 became the usual "hard-to-put-down action of the rest of the series. I look forward to Taylor getting back to what she does best in the next book.
