Cozy mysteries are such fun, and this one is really different from most of the series I read. There are no recipes or pets helping solve the crime or little old ladies...
I really found this book to be refreshing. Spying, theft and a murder! All taking place in the 1930s and involving the aristocracy! The closest series that this comes to are the Lady Jane Grey mysteries, but this is much lighter fare and a more fun read.
Georgie is a fabulous heroine and her family make up a great supporting cast of characters. I particularly loved the ever annoying Fig, Georgie's sister-in-law, who wishes the family didn't have to support the unmarried sister.
This book is part of a series, but like most cozy mysteries in this same genre, you really don't need to have read the others to enjoy this one. It is definitely a stand alone book.
