The writing is clear and simple -- this could be a children's book -- but the subjects are profound: pushing through fear, generosity, listening to your instincts, staying curious and open to what is happening instead of rigid, and the experience of human-animal communication and relationship. I found it poignant. Also - beautiful descriptions of swimming and the life of the sea. As a meditator, I found many analogues of the experience of practicing meditation with her practice of swimming.
