A teenage girl is driving herself and her mother home during a rainstorm when they hit a man jogging beside the road. When the police arrive they assume that the mother was the one behind the wheel and she chooses not to correct them. The remainder of the story evolves out of this one moment. There are also a lot of little side stories that got a little annoying to me as it got a little ridiculous in my opinion that every single character in the book had to have some major crisis going on in their lives. It was still a pretty good book though. It kept me entertained and I didn't want to put it down.
