it was amazing

Jaz Parks is a vampire hunter, but she works for the CIA and her boss’s name is Vayl. He was born in Romania in 1744…and died there, too. Yes, Vayl is a vampire, but a good one. The two of them work together to bring down the bad vampires. In the final book of this series, Vayl manages to survive an assassination attempt and may have finally found his sons, but Jaz and Vayl find themselves traveling to Romania. It all comes to an end, in this exciting final chapter.

Over the length of the series, Rardin’s writing steadily got better. In the first book, I felt like parts of it were written by someone younger than her, but by the end of the series, I felt like the books were finally up to the standards of adult fantasy. I really enjoyed Rardin’s overall tone throughout the series, because the character of Jaz is very sarcastic and that is exactly like my sense of humor.
