Tick Tock
by Dean Koontz
by Dean Koontz
Up until the passed few years, I really enjoyed Dean Koontz. His writing style was relaxed and easy to read, and it was the kind of book I liked to read while falling asleep because I didn't have to be so active while reading it. However, I checked this book out of my local library and couldn't believe how awful this was. The main issue I had with it was the plot. It's all about a doll this guy finds on his doorstep, decides to bring it into his house, and watches it come to life and become a monster. ...Seriously? I thought I had seen this movie before (Chucky). I got about three quarters of the way through before I couldn't take it anymore and returned it to the library early. He was not able to keep up the suspension of disbelief at all, and it showed me how important that aspect is in a book.
