Phenomenal book. I actually am left without words concerning this book. It's an incredible adventure into the human psyche in the guise of a scientific study of baboons. Sound boring? It's anything. Sapolsky, who is an innovative, radical and well respected scientist in his community, is also an animated and graceful writer. The end had me heartbroken with its melancholy and resignation as well as acceptance with the unwritten message of "well, them's the breaks".

Read it.
