Exactly what I sought - an entertaining read with out requiring too many brain cells .. a decompression book, evening reading, page turner, "beach" book, etc.

Mr. Sandford has quite a cast to weave through this character's unique cases. Fun, not totally predictable (although I had a pretty good, correct, guess with too much left), yet the way he ties it up is pleasing- like sitting down with an old friend and knowing what you are going to get - complete with the comfort that comes from that certainty.

Each book builds on the last in incremental ways - one can enter this or Davenports world with any book in the long series. For me, I enjoy reading them in sequence as the leads reveal more and more of themselves over time - the good authors keep adding shades and color to their lead characters, a craft that is not as easy as this pro makes it appear.
