Sword and Citadel (The Book of the New Sun, #3-4)
by Gene Wolfe
by Gene Wolfe
I think this is one of those books that I will come to love after multiple readings. There is a lot of mythology folded into the story that I am not familiar with so I really need to read some of the other material that has been written about the book to really start to understand the story.
It is really worth the effort to read but I feel I have only scratched the surface of the true story. For that reason alone I won't even attempt a review of the plot. If you want a book that challenges you and stretches your knowledge of language then this is the book for you.
