This book was similar to the Da Vinci Code, with secrets of history that - if revealed - would change everyone's understanding of the past, and people who would stop at nothing to keep the secrets hidden. The contemporary treasure hunt was entertaining and the historic parts were interesting - I didn't know much about Chinese mapmaking in the 1400s - so it was a good summer read, but not much more than that.
