really liked it
Read from May 20 to June 14, 2012

I really didn't expect to like this one as much as I did. The science is bad, bordering on horrible, so that requires an extra layer of disbelief, but the human element of the story was very genuine. And somehow, the author made the fairly casual, wanton abuse of women readable without skyrocketing my blood-pressure.

I really enjoyed the characters. Each of the brides had a unique, well-thought out personality that remained consist, yet showed signs of growth and change, like real people (only better). Lindon and Gabriel...only marginally less so.

The setting was cool too. I actually had the thought, Gee...I'll have to see the mansion someday. Erm...yeah.

Overall, really excellent read for those liking dystopias.

I'll probably read (or listen to) the next book, assuming this is a series.

BTW, the reader for the audio book is really good too.
