It was so great to have a new book by Howard! What a treat! And I enjoyed and appreciated the fact that the serial killer wasn't the same old, same old. It's nice to have a book tweak the paradigms of romantic suspense for a change. Call it 'Survivalist Romantic Suspense'.

However, I want to point out that the Cover Art = FAIL. What a horrid choice! Who's putting this schlock out now, 14 year olds? I mean really!
It should have been a combination of a REI or L.L. Bean catalogue, with something like this
plus BLOOD, lots of blood. Talk about misleading (and ugly).
I detest this cover. Can you tell?
