What a wonderful book. Part cozy mystery, part mystical paranormal, part great friendship, part history and definitely Southern - although a different Southern than, say, Pat Conroy. I think the book's greatest strength was the character development of Jane Thistle and Phoebe Twigg, both of whom I came to feel dear toward. You have to love a woman who names her gun Smokahontas! I will definitely check out the next installment of this series.
